Highlights for the Year 2024
The whole world is in crisis, but we dare say that life in Congo has an incomparable set of challenges (not to mention the ongoing war in the East of the country for decades), be it economical or sanitary as most people don’t have the bare necessities (insufficient employment, clean water or electricity, no health insurance or retirement subsidies). Most people live from hand to mouth as they try to scrape a living by any possible means. Sadly, the local population does not benefit from the rich minerals its country produces, as it all goes in the pockets of a few. Such poverty generates crime which is rampant even among children. Our small project strives to set an example of what can be done to put an end to such poverty by supplying quality education and health care to the community of Kikimi, having installed solar panels to provide electricity, clean water and internet, and the means to generate income through micro-credits and the development of agriculture. We have also invested in training young people with a vision to help their fellowmen through charitable endeavors. Until this project can become fully autonomous, it needs your regular contributions to be able to keep going.
So we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to each one of you who have, through your generosity and dedication, made a big difference in the lives of so many underprivileged children and families in Kinshasa, giving them hope for a brighter future. Both are needed, the dedication and sacrificial giving of our volunteers, and the generosity of our friends who respond to the need. It is a team effort, and we hope that these highlights will warm your hearts as you review all that has been accomplished, thanks to you! We thank God for each one of you and pray you will feel His blessings in your life this coming year. We feel privileged to be working together with you to make this world a better place and to brighten the lives of those who are less fortunate. May God richly bless you.
