1 Education
The students are preparing for their second-trimester exams before Easter.
The second grade students are learning about the palm tree, how it’s used to make brooms and how oil is extracted from its nuts for cooking. (Unrefined palm oil has used for millenia to prepare meals in West Africa and possesses several health benefits, including:
- protecting brain function
- reducing heart disease risk factors
- improving vitamin A status
Our school was chosen to receive a group of student teachers from other areas to practice what they have learned in theory.
Having fun during recess with one of the student teachers:
2 Cleanliness and Maintenance
The children are taught about the importance of cleanliness and contribute to keeping their school grounds nice and clean.
3 Youth and Children’s Ministries
Jacques continues faithfully with his Sunday school classes with the children and was also invited to make a presentation during a discussion/debate about the place of women in the New Alliance, a hot topic in Congo. He was able to successfully share about the importance of the equality of women in today’s world. There is no male nor female in Christ Jesus.
4 Agriculture
Fabrice’s new agricultural project is yielding its first crop of sweet potatoes. The profit will go towards helping the disadvantaged children he teaches.
