1 Education
Our 6th graders are actively preparing their final exams under the supervision of an inspector.
2 Distribution of food
Thank you to Mr. Rathi for his donation of powdered milk.
50% of the avocados produced in the project is given to the children, the other half is sold to help support the school.
And thank you to Mrs. Neema for her donation of biscuits and clothing for the children.
3 Health and Maternity
We welcomed a new baby born in our maternity this month.
In our clinic, patients are being treated with love and tender care, be it for malaria, HBP or any other health problem. Merline, 13 years old, was suffering from appendicitis. Before the building of our clinic, such patients had to be carried on a stretcher through the bush for 13 km to reach the city hospital. Now, when an operation is needed, a surgeon comes to our clinic to perform the operation.
4 Youth and Children’s Ministries
Theo has been called upon to teach a course on leadership at the Protestant University of Kinshasa. He has also started teaching the 12 Foundations Bible course to a group of students.
5 A Call for Peace in the East
Richard presented his documentary “A Killing Machine” at the Shalom University of Bunia at the end of April, and in May at the Catholic University of Goma as well as in Bukavu. We pray that this call for peace will be heard and that peace will be restored in the region after so many years of terror.
