1 Education
The tailoring class was actively preparing for the inspectors’ visit. This class is open both to the high school students who have chosen this option, and to women from the village who wish to learn a trade in order to feed their family.
2 School Inspection
A whole delegation of school inspectors came to inspect the school, the vocational training and even the food gardens and orchard. They were impressed by the all that is being accomplished and gave the school a top rating.
3 Health Care
Malaria remains the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in DRC. In 2022, the DRC accounted for 54 percent of malaria cases in Central Africa, the highest in the sub-region. Having the clinic right on the school grounds makes it possible to give the student immediate care when they fall ill from malaria.
4 Youth Ministry
Aristote and Fabrice would like to thank those who sent them a donation to help them with their losses from the flood. Aristote was able to replace his cellphone and purchase some of the wood needed to build a roofing structure for the plot he is using to teach the young people and children he is overseeing. Thank you for praying for sufficient supply so he can get all the materials needed to complete the roof.
He has also contacted the association “Jeunes au soleil” devoted to rehabilitate street children, and he will start using the STEPS Program with these kids.
