October News (2026)
1 Education
Both Primary and Secondary School students are so eager to learn and progress and love using the library.

2 Vocational Training
In the secondary school, the tailoring class is teaching the basics to the new students, starting with hand stitches before learning how to use the sewing machine.

In the construction class, the boys are learning this month all about metal work.

3 Distribution of School Supplies
A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Neema for donating school supplies to our Kikimi School: notebooks, pens, pencils, sharpeners and even biscuits.

4 News from Fabrice
Fabrice now has 3 groups of underprivileged children he and his team teach using the STEPS Program. He is running an agricultural project to provide income to help sponsor their education. Many of these kids have now grown up. In partnership with the MUNESFA company, some of these young people will receive training in agriculture and marketing. Fabrice just applied to LiftUp for help towards financing this new project. Previously, LiftUp had helped him start his agricultural project and dig a well.

5 News from Aristote
Unfortunately, after one month of working at this big construction company, Aristote was asked not to continue at the present work site but may be asked to help at a future site. Another misfortune is that the person he had left in charge of the bakery ran off after 2 weeks with all the income without paying the workers nor replenishing the stock. He was arrested by the police, but then let go without being forced to return the stolen money.
Thankfully, the stipend Aristote received from the company he worked for helped him to settle some of the bills and he even purchased the promised uniforms and school supplies for 10 children from the orphanage so they could attend school. Let us keep him in our prayers, that he doesn’t get discouraged, as he may be forced to put the bakery on hold until he has the means to replenish his stock.

6 News from Jacques
Some very sad news: one of the children Jacques teaches every week during Sunday School passed away unexpectedly. She was fine in the morning, then developed a slight fever. Her parents took her to the hospital where she passed away, apparently from poisoning. She was only 6 years old.

Précieuse (in circle) before she passed away
