Back to School — September 2023
1 Education
September is back to school in Congo. The Rizwan Adatya Foundation brought a year’s supply of notebooks and pens, along with a snack for the children. They have faithfully been helping us for over 10 years. We are so thankful for them.
2 Goods Distribution
A big thank you to the Rathi Mukund family who donated rice, laundry soap, clothing, shoes, toys, plastic containers and even files for the school office. They also have been helping us for many years.
It is thanks to GGMart monthly donations that the girls in our school no longer have to interrupt their studies.
3 Health
Several children came down with malaria this month. Thanks to Florence’s tender care, they quickly recovered in our clinic.
4 Youth Ministry
Jacques organized an outing to the zoo of Kinshasa for his Sunday School children. Kinshasa is a very busy and noisy city, so it was wonderful for them to be in nature and learn about animals.
He also continues with his Sunday School classes.
Through counseling, Aristote has been helping many young people to find purpose in their lives, including visiting hospitals and orphanages and bringing food supplies to the needy. He holds monthly motivational campaigns in different parts of Kinshasa which have been instrumental in helping young people to turn their lives around.
This month, Cedric held two motivational speeches for young people, besides his ongoing ministry.
