1 Education
Come September, it’s back to school in Kikimi! Sunita donated 415 uniforms which she brought back from Dubai, one for each of the children attending our school in Kikimi! God bless her generosity!
All these children are hoping for sponsors so they can complete this new school year.
2 Youth Ministry
From Jacques: While on a work mission to establish maps in the Sankuru Region, which is close to the Lomami Park where live the Pygmies, I took advantage of my free time to go and visit them.
My main goal was to tell them about God’s love. What moved me the most was to hear them say that they feel abandoned and neglected. They want to build a future for their children and send them to school. So we prayed that God would touch the heart of our government to remember them.
They were so happy to know that God loves them and cares about them. It was just wonderful. I shared with them the little that I had and took to the hospital a mother and her sick child who didn’t have the finances to take him to the doctor.
From Aristote: Aristote organized an outreach at Kinshasa’s General Hospital with his youth group. First, everyone contributed what little they could afford to purchase food and they prepared packages to distribute to the patients. In Congo, hospitals don’t serve food, it is up to the families of the patients to bring it, and poor people often must go without. Bringing food to patients you are not related to is an act of love which speaks louder than a sermon. Then they prayed for the healing of the patients and shared words of comfort and encouragement with each of them.
