Year End Review 2013: Medical Care
Espoir Congo continues sponsoring the medical care of all the orphaned children, and Florence has been doing a wonderful job running the dispensary, mini-lab and medical check-ups for not only the school children and orphans, but also all the villagers who come by, in particular the pregnant mommies. Thirty six babies were born in Kikimi this year, in the make-shift maternity set up by the village. We Care Solar donated a solar maternity kit which is going to make it so much easier to have deliveries at night.
While we continue to pray for funding to be able to build a proper maternity/clinic, we have decided to turn the ground floor of the newly built training center into a medical center for the time being, and will be using the upstairs (which will be built this year, thanks to Exp-Communic’Art), for tailoring and beautician classes.
