1 Marouni and Victoria’s Visit
The highlight of this month was the visit of Marouni and his wife Victoria. Marouni has been a long-time friend, who even gave us the use of his apartment in 2019, when we dug the well in Kikimi. Previously, he had been instrumental in donating food monthly when he worked for the Achour Group, and bread when he worked for Pain Victoire. After many years of absence, he came this month to visit Kikimi and show the project to his wife. The children welcomed them with dance and songs.
They also came with a carload of food supplies, God bless them!
2 Education
The students are back to school after the Easter holidays and are diving wholeheartedly into their studies.
These women are very thankful for the opportunity to learn a trade in tailoring, which will enable them to support their families. High school girls also have the option to choose tailoring as their vocational training.

5 Food Gardens
The papaya trees planted many years ago are yielding a beautiful crop, from which more trees will grow.
The soil is being prepared to be planted for vegetables, that will help fight poverty and hunger.
6 News from Aristote and Fabrice
This month, the river N’Jili had a disastrous flooding which took several lives and wounded many civilians. Unfortunately, the place where Aristote holds his meetings also got flooded. Thankfully he himself wasn’t hurt, but he lost most of his belongings including his cellphone, chairs and the provisions he was keeping for the young people. Last year, he had lost his computer in another flood.
He is desperate to complete the building of a basic structure but is lacking the needed finances. In the meantime, he held a seminar for women in another borrowed location and continues the best he can with hospital visitation and training the street kids.
Fabrice also had some misfortune this year as he was attacked by bandits who stole his computer and his cell phone.
Please pray for the protection of these dear volunteers, as they face so many dangers from all sides, be it with sickness, floods, crime and extreme poverty. Thank you so very much!
