6   Pope Francis’ visit

During his visit to Kinshasa, Pope Francis strongly denounced the economic colonialism and the foreign plundering of Congo. He exposed the corruption and the violence that disseminates the country and made a call for peace and forgiveness. He also encouraged the young people, the hope of the future, to follow the path of prayer, community, honesty, forgiveness, and mercy.
