1   Education: Primary School

Here are some photos of our children in primary school, so happy to study and learn, be it in class or in the library.

2   Women Empowerment

In most schools in Congo, men are the ones teaching. But in our school, we go the extra mile to hire women as primary school teachers, to make it possible for them to improve their living standard. They make excellent teachers.

3   Vocational Training

Our high school students who have signed up for vocational training spent the whole month in hands on practice, which was organized in 4 parts:

1. Observation: trainee students observe teachers’ practices for seven days.
2. Lesson assignment: the administration assigns to the trainees the lessons they will need to prepare based on the observed model.
3. Practical teaching: the trainees teach the lessons they have prepared.
4. Evaluation: the trainees are evaluated by the teaching staff and the administration.

Those in pedagogy assisted the teachers in the various classes.

Those in tailoring learned, for example, how to take the measurements from the students in preparation for making the next school uniforms.

Those in construction learned various building skills, including how to lay foundations.

4   Maintenance

The cisterns that collect the drinking water from the solar well have to be cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis in order to maintain the quality of the water.

5   Youth Ministry

Since last Decembre, Olivier has been focusing his energy in reaching university students, visiting them in the dorms, distributing Gospel literature, praying for them and even holding Bible study for those interested.

Aristote organized a retreat for the young people he is training, while continuing to hold character building and fun activities in two orphanages. He is also actively preparing his bakery project while waiting for funding. Thank you so much to all those who have sent donations towards it.

Jacques: After a long and difficult bout with malaria, he was able to resume his weekly Sunday School activities with his group of children.
