1 Education
The new science manuals for 3rd and 4th grades show a photo of our students on the front cover! This was a big encouragement for the children! Inspectors continue to visit our school regularly and have undertaken further training of the teachers. Their reports have also been very encouraging.
2 Health/Maternity
The heavy rains have also brought many cases of malaria. Thankfully everyone has recovered after being treated at our clinic.
We also had the joy of having new babies born this month.
3 Distribution of goods/Services to the Poor
We are very thankful for the generosity of the kind-hearted people who donate food each month, which enables the children to eat well and therefore study better.
Thanks to the donation of sanitary products, the girls no longer miss school and excel in their studies.
4 Well Maintenance
After installing the lighting rod, we were able to order a new controller from France which got installed to replace the one that had been damaged by the storm. Afterwards, we could proceed with the maintenance of the well, the solar pump and the cisterns. It was a big job that lasted a week. We are now waiting for the lab to send us the results of the water samples.
5 Youth Ministry
Olivier has organized an eschatology seminar to cover the prophecies of the book of Daniel, which will take several weeks.
6 Children Program
Weekly Program:
English classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Character Building in Ekila on Saturdays.
